A Dali Inspired Logo

Copyright © Allison Stevens. All Rights Reserved. This was a fantastic project done in conjunction with one of my awesome collaborators (ELyse Ostland of NorthSouth Studios). This logo is for a conference that is going to be held in St. Pete, Florida and part of the event is going to be held at the Salvador Dali Museum. His work quickly became the inspiration behind the logo design. Lots of creativity and always great to exercise my drawing skills!

Dr. Melanie’s Yummy Site

Just wrapped up the first incarnation of the official website for Ph.D.-serts & Cakes in Tampa, Florida.  We created the logos for them earlier in 2011.

The origin of the unique name is the owner, Melanie Judge’s hard-earned Ph.D in biomedical research, studying obesity.  She finished it just in time to leave the science field and delve into her passion – baking!  She has spent the last few years perfecting the art of creating beautiful, fun cakes, cookes, cupcakes and more.

In 2011 she started her own business and we were very happy to be a part of it!

FINALLY! A website update!

Well, we’ve FINALLY been able to update the website. TaDa!  This has been our core project for the last couple of weeks.  We’re going to be adding more information slowly, so you’ll soon have a more complete idea of what we’ve been up to recently!

And the cool part is this time the site is going to stay in transition because we’ve turned our site into a blog as well!

Now you will be able to follow the ongoing work-in-progress that is our growing portfolio. Get a taste of what we’re working on now, what’s coming up and what we’ve been up to.  Enjoy!

A Huge Canvas

In the past we’ve been known to tackle some decorating work, but we haven’t done much of it for a long time.  Recently, we were asked to take on a unique project: take a 1989 contemporary house with sleek lines inside and traditional  styling outside and transform it into something that would house a collection of antiques, paintings and furnishings that span the past 150 years and span the globe from Europe, to America, to Asia and somehow all still make sense.

Whew. This is going to be a challenge!

The client said to me, “Is it silly that we really love this house? It’s nothing like any of the other houses we’ve had before.”  Well that sounds like enough of a reason to buy the house to me – Adventure!

The project is still in progress, but we’ve posted some images here of the starting point and the early stages of the renovations.

The starting point…

This will give an idea of the sort of furniture that will be going into the house. This is the dining room table photographed in the clients previous house.
